ABOUT SPEAKING AND LEADING TOASTMASTERS
Why Toastmasters in Lüneburg?
Those who know Lüneburg love it – the charming medieval yet modern city just outside of Hamburg, which once achieved prosperity through salt. Many young people are preparing for international careers at Leuphana University. Many long-time residents and newcomers work independently or in large companies in Hamburg/Lüneburg for international clients.
What could be more obvious than to offer young and mature, residents and newcomers a platform where they can get to know each other, develop, and expand their skills together?
A new club SALT – Speaking and Leading Toastmasters is born.
SALT is a bilingual, German-English speaking club
What are Toastmasters?
Toastmasters International, or Toastmasters for short, is a non-profit organization that has been helping its members develop their leadership and rhetorical skills since 1924. This is done on the basis of learning materials that the member selects according to personal and professional needs, in a friendly and constructive learning atmosphere of the club. Each member works on his or her speaking and leadership tasks at his or her own pace and receives individual, constructive feedback: What can I do differently or better? This is how all 16,200 Toastmasters clubs around the world work, and of course how we work at SALT Lüneburg.
Why should I become a member of SALT Lüneburg?
The reasons people join Toastmasters International and SALT Lüneburg are almost as varied as the people themselves. Many come because they want to reduce their stage fright and discover the many learning opportunities Toastmasters offers beyond that: Giving feedback, improving language skills, moderating, developing leadership skills, and last but not least, being spontaneous and creative.
The best thing is to come and see for yourself. Of course, it’s free and without obligation, but it’s not for nothing.
We look forward to seeing you!

SALT in the press!
Ja, so könnt’s klappen. (Anna Petersen, LZ vom 30.7.22)
